The story of the Jewelry collection starts with my travel to Oman. In 2005, while I was living in the UAE, I traveled with my family to Oman. On our long tour through the country, we stayed in the coastal city of Muscat and visited its beautiful souq (traditional covered marketplace.) It occurred to me that the historic souq has been a place for trading goods transported by ships during centuries. Passing through the authentic roofed passages, we came by a corridor of jewelry and antiquity shops. Colorful strings of stone and silver hung from the wall of one of the stores attracted us into the jewelry shop of a Muscati man. The store was filled with tourists from different nations. However, I found myself most interested in the reaction of women in special. Some ladies were standing in front of the mirrors, putting on different necklaces, while posing. The eyes of many lit up with joy after several tries, and they happily bought their favorite ornaments. Meanwhile, I was deep into my though, asking myself, why must a woman cover one of the most beautiful parts of her body, her neck, and yet be so satisfied. I concluded that these decorative objects are indeed impressive, regardless of the person who wears them. What if one can decorate and design the walls of his house with a painting of these antique jewelry? Following my sudden inspiration, I started to walk around the store of the hospitable Muscati man, photographing, and framing the strings of colorful stones. Nowadays, when I stand in front of the paintings from the Jewellery (A Fresh Look) collection, they remind me of that day in Oman. And, of course, the memory of the tasty and aromatic Arabic coffee that the Muscati shop owner generously offered us.<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
